Mr. Ann Ogwee Patrick Okello born on 25th May 1983 in Abim District –Karamoja Sub-Region. Hold a Masters in Local Governance and Human Rights (MALGHR) from Uganda Martyrs University 2012-2015; Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management (PDPPM) from Uganda Management Institute 2019-2020; Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BA Econ) from Kyambogo University 2004-2007; Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) from Tororo Progressive Secondary School 2002-2003 and Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) from Kangole Boys’ Primary School-Moroto (1991-1997).
Have over 10 years’ progressive work experience implementing Gender, Social Protection and livelihoods Programing with Government and Non-Governmental Organizations with war and drought affected communities: Currently working with ESPP-MGLSD as RTSU Coordinator /Senior Operations Officer since January 2020 implementing SCG – SAGE; Worked for the Development Food Security Activities (DFSA) program funded by USAID July 2017 to December 2022 program in Karamoja; Worked with Danish Refugee Council (as; Livelihoods Team Leader Kyaka II Refugee Settlement April 2018 to Dec 2018); Team Leader in Rhino Camp Extension-Omugo from July 2017 to April 2018; Livelihoods Project Manager from August 2014 to July 2017 implementation of Livelihoods/Cash/Food for Work program with funding from UNHCR, ECHO, BPRM, DFID through WFP etc.
Also Worked as a Program Officer implementing the ACDI/VOCA-USAID Title 2 Program from April 2013 to August 2014 with funding from the USAID in Karamoja Region-Uganda; National Project Manager with Abeiter Sanaiter Bund (ASB) from Feb 2012 to March 2013 implementing the Livelihoods and Sexual Gender Based Violence Project Funded by UN Women in Karamoja Uganda Project Manager with Samaritan’s Purse Uganda from July 2011-Jan 2012 implementing the SGBV project funded by UNFPA in Karamoja Uganda; Program officer with the International Rescue Committee-Uganda Program from Feb 2010-Jun2011 on a project of Gender Based Violence and Women Building Peace with Funded from USAID through UNFPA; a Field Monitor with Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, Karamoja in 2009 implementing a WFP general food distribution project and and finally as Teacher in secondary and primary schools in Moroto district
